Subject: Best Encoder output and voltage for KFlop?
I found this encoder and it is a direct drop in to replace my resolvers. What is the best output and voltage for the KFlop?

Output Options:
01 = TTL Output
02 = RS422A Line Driver
03 = OL 7272 5-26 VDC Line Driver

Voltage Options:
5 VDC +/- 5%
5 - 26 VDC

From my experience .....ttl output, 5v.  I believe that's the standard.

Hi Matt,

I would choose Option 02.   That is a differential signal.  Differential signals are much less susceptible to noise.  You could connect it to differential inputs or single ended inputs by just using one of the signals.  KFLOP only has single ended inputs.  But in the future it would be available to connect to differential inputs on Kanalog or SnapAmp.  There are also low cost (~$15) cables with differential to single ended receivers built in.

Matt,

You're welcome for the poor info.....lol. Sorry. My encoders are TTL and differential. I guess those are different.

I have the Kanalog mounted to the KFlop so stick with option 2?
